Campaign Assistant

Union members at the ANU are preparing to escalate their Enterprise Bargaining campaign, including the possibility of strike action. We're currently looking for extra support for our campaign activities. If you are passionate about higher education, and you believe that staff working conditions are student learning conditions, we'd love to hear from you.

This role would suit you if you're outgoing, and willing to talk to people about working conditions and the benefit of being part of their union. You would be helping to encourage members to attend campaign events, and to encourage potential members to join the union. This could involve doorknocking, phone calls, and peer-to-peer texting. You would also be involved in helping to set up and run campaign events such as rallies and other actions. You would be working closely with more senior organising staff to help achieve improvements to pay and conditions for our members.
