Description:

We're seeking a chef with a background in cafe operations with an interest in native foods that focus on creating lasting culinary experiences. We’re a small team so attention to detail is a must. You will be hands on in all aspects of the kitchen, including maintaining stock levels.

The café is open for breakfast and lunch, and catered events, serving quality, healthy meals with a native twist and exceptional customer service. Sobah maintains a positive workplace culture that places significant emphasis on employee experience. The chef must be capable of handling the pressures of operating a busy kitchen while working with other team members.

Skills And Attributes

• At least three years of experience in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated experience with breakfast cuisine and baking
• A strong focus on quality and pride in presentation
• Strong knowledge of modern cooking techniques
• Thorough knowledge of HACCP compliance
• Passion for food, particularly Australian native food
• Exceptional communication and customer service
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Must be flexible, adaptive, reliable and demonstrate initiative.
