Description:
To develop, refresh and govern the organization's overall IT Strategy, supporting technology roadmaps and associated implementation plans. This role is key to ensuring the organization has a clear, coherent approach to technology strategy to deliver business outcomes, grow capability and maintain organizational alignment.
- Lead the development and maintenance of an overall plan for the ongoing implementation of IT Strategy, acting as a focal point for technology strategy and associated roadmaps.
- Identify, investigate and resolve areas of opportunity and uncertainty, lead effective interventions, and produce relevant strategy and planning artefacts (e.g. supporting strategies, position papers, options papers) to enable greater clarity
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with senior business and IT stakeholders to ensure that strategy is well communicated, reflects relevant inputs, and changes dynamically to address emerging issues and opportunities
- Oversight of IT business alignment initiatives to ensure IT delivers organisational value and benefits.
Qualifications and skills
- Proven experience in building and cultivating effective partnerships between business and technology
- Utilities experience (preferred)
- Excellent communication, diplomacy, facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills
- Proven capability in defining technology solutions that enable the business strategy and secure stakeholder commitment and approval at a senior leadership level
- Strong business and commercial acumen and consulting capability
