Description:
Our client, a respected independent organisation, is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join their Melbourne office in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Enterprise Business Intelligence Manager, you will play a key role in establishing a new enterprise-wide business intelligence function. Your work will focus on data analysis and insights discovery to enhance client engagement and retention, contributing to the organisation's mission of supporting financial well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute data analysis, interrogation, and reporting to uncover insights that drive client engagement and retention.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs, KPIs, and metrics within the enterprise business intelligence framework.
- Utilise analytics tools to extract and analyse customer, market, and competitor data, informing product and service development.
- Create impactful data visualisations, dashboards, and reports using Power BI to communicate key insights effectively.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by monitoring and evaluating reporting processes.
- Champion the development of a standardised reporting suite for management and Board reporting.
- Work collaboratively to identify gaps for process improvements and implement enhancements for operational effectiveness.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and data analytics.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or in a similar role, preferably in financial services.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with the capacity to present data meaningfully through visualisations, reports, and presentations.
- Knowledge of fund administration activities is highly regarded.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex data insights clearly to varied stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data visualisation tools (SQL, Python, R) and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).
- Competence in Microsoft Power BI and Excel.
- A curious mindset and commitment to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Relevant degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent experience preferred.
