Description:
The Business Information Support Specialist forms part of the IT Project and Support Unit within the Regulatory Services Department. The Department is responsible for a wide range of functions including the release of criminal history and accidents/crime reports, as well as the regulation of the firearms, private security, and weapons industries in Victoria.
The Business Information Support Specialist will oversee the operational management of the Department's IT functions and applications. Key initiatives include contributing to IT projects and uplifts to IT applications.
- Providing technical expertise and delivery capability for the maintenance, enhancement and support of the Department's IT applications.
- Sound understanding of application changes and ensuring they are appropriately disseminated between environments to production.
- Managing IT risks and issues through problem-solving skills and implementing prevention measures as appropriate.
- Coordinating and managing IT application uplifts to enhance service delivery.
- A strong background within an IT systems context.
- Proven ability to manage and resolve stakeholder IT issues to ensure positive outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in managing, maintaining and continuously improving IT applications.
- Experience working in a dynamic and agile technology environment.
- One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
