We are looking for a Business Development Specialist (M&A Focused) to join the growing team on a permanent, full time basis. A part time position would be considered for the right candidate.
You will be part of a small, highly functional and supportive Business Development team. This role is integral to supporting the achievement of Elders’ growth strategy through the coordination of acquisition and greenfield growth opportunities across the group.
Working under the direction and support of the Business Development Managers, this role provides a unique opportunity for an applicant with project or finance experience to work across a range of key stakeholders to co-ordinate successful business development and growth activities.

Responsibilities

  • As a Business Development Specialist you will enjoy a varied day including:
  • Coordinating pre acquisition activities including managing team deadlines and information requests
  • Assisting in preparation of financial models, business cases and due diligence reports
  • Developing integration plans and driving the day to day integration process
  • Completing post implementation reviews of acquisitions
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including Elders’ policies
  • Build relationship with internal and external stakeholders and work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition of new business
  • Ability to multitask in a systematic, organised and disciplined manner to achieve project outcomes;
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams, roles and levels of management;
  • Strong financial acumen with ability to understand and analyse financial information;
  • Excellent problem solving skills;
  • Ability to communicate information effectively to all levels of the organisation;
  • Willingness to learn and understand operational, product and functional roles across the Elders business to maximise value in the business development process;
  • Ability to maintain a positive, can do attitude in a complex and challenging environment.
