Business Development Representative

 

Description:

Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will drive top-of-funnel opportunities for our new PayTo product, contributing to the creation of a robust Merchant pipeline. From initiating mid-market deals to closure, you'll play a pivotal role in the sales cycle. With a focus on outbound channel sales development, you'll leverage your expertise to generate and close opportunities through strategic lead generation initiatives.

Other key areas of responsibility will include:
 

  • Assist the Sales team in executing key PayTo strategy outreach efforts;
  • Collaborate with Sales leaders to identify and target key Merchants;
  • Achieve revenue targets set by Sales Leaders;
  • Implement multi-channel touchpoints (emails, calls, chats, social media, events) through the sales engagement journey;
  • Define a partner acquisition lifecycle process for optimal conversion and growth;
  • Lead sales engagements from inception to closure;
  • Forecast, measure, and analyse the impact of demand creation activities on sales pipeline and revenue;
  • Cultivate strong relationships with Sales, Marketing, and other stakeholders;
  • Communicate findings in a clear, actionable manner;
  • Establish yourself as a trusted team member, paving the way for future growth opportunities.
     

About You

A self-starter and a hunger to learn you are an experienced sales professional having worked in a similar role in mid to enterprise markets. You are eager to elevate your sales career, possessing high levels of tenacity, drive, ambition, and a strong appetite for success.

You will also bring:
 

  • Previous experience in Sales, Marketing, Advertising, FinTech, SaaS or related field;
  • A minimum of 3 years in a Sales development role, showcasing expertise in closing medium to large merchant deals.
  • Outbound sales, lead generation and/or channel sales development experience is desired
  • Ability to engage with clients on a consultative level, asking insightful questions that delve into their pains, needs, and the genuine reasons behind their decisions.
  • Professional demeanour and an ability to represent the company at external events and trade shows (some travel may be required)
  • Capacity to persevere through challenges, demonstrating determination to achieve set targets.
