As a Business Development Officer (BDO) in our NDIS team, you will develop community and stakeholder referral streams of NDIS customers to WISE across Melbourne and Greater Melbourne. Part of the role will also involve the streamlining of internal referrals from within the DES teams at WISE. The BDM will also work closely with the broader NDIS team to develop better referral pathways within WISE to ensure all suitable referrals are captured and assigned for supports.

This role is a 12-month contract position.

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor and, at times, staff the new participant enquiry 1800 number and report on intake patterns.
  • Attend community events, school functions and expos to generate NDIS referrals.
  • Join and engage with other NDIS networks that will produce NDIS customer referral activity.
  • Work with DES and other internal stakeholders like the CEET and systems and databases to collect referrals.
  • Identify opportunities to promote NDIS@WISE, including developing innovative strategies to reach new audiences to produce NDIS customer referrals.
  • Support the allocation of participants to Team Leaders and Managers.
  • Coordinate campaigns and social media content.
  • Display a high level of personal integrity and professionalism when representing WISE Employment.
  • Actively contribute to the development of a culture consistent with the values of WISE Employment.
  • Be proactive in risk identification, notification and management.
  • Contribute to continuous quality and service delivery improvement throughout the organisation.
