Description:
Responsible for the full range of fund development activities for the organisation, marketing, fundraising, and reviewing of the organisation’s policy and procedures. These activities include grant/tender writing and reporting with public agencies, private foundations, and funding bodies. This position is responsible for writing proposals for both restricted and unrestricted projects and for submitting timely and accurate reports for all existing grant funded projects
Manage organisation’s quality management systems and process to ensure legislative compliance and participate in administrative systems, processes and policies that ensure compliance with agency standards, policies and procedures and quality improvement processes
Provide vital input in short- and long-term strategic and operational planning
Philanthropy and fund development are carried out in keeping with the organisation’s values, mission, vision, and plans
Evaluate the effect of internal and external forces on the organisation and its fund development, recommend short and long-range fund development plans and programs that support the organisation’s values, mission, and general objectives
Keep informed of developments in philanthropy and fund development as well as the general fields of management and the not-for-profit sector; informs the chief executive officer and board on current trends, issues, problems, and activities in order to facilitate policy making, recommending policy positions concerning fund development.
