We're on the hunt for seasoned sales guns to join our team in Melbourne servicing our Australia and New Zealand markets to get our amazing advertising solutions in front of the world’s biggest packaged goods brands.

This is a genuine sales role for people who are serious about selling – you are competitive, curious and an outstanding communicator.

If successful, you will join a group of like-minded new starters to be developed together with a specially designed training program simulcast from our global headquarters in Toronto.

When you join us you will work directly with the world’s top packaged goods companies, have the opportunity to travel the region meeting some of North America’s greatest marketing minds, and hone career-making sales, management and production skills across television, digital and social.

You'll also learn all you need to know about our company, our unique products and the secrets to selling as part of an extensive training program delivered by some of the industry's best.

Things you're gonna like doing:

  • Use some of your existing contacts in the market to generate meetings with prospective clients around Australia and New Zealand
  • Networking at a high level, getting to know our current clients while finding potential new ones
  • Setting up meetings with top-tier CPG, FMCG and OTC companies across Australia and New Zealand to educate about our platforms and how it can serve their business, using various tactics such as e-mail, telephone, LinkedIn etc.
  • Use our pretty cool online CRM tools (salesforce.com) to maintain detailed information on contacts, accounts, meetings, and opportunities
  • Work effectively with multiple internal departments to sell, execute, and manage campaigns (i.e. creative and production teams)
  • Research and manage potential leads and prospects through LinkedIn and industry database subscriptions to understand market dynamics and key players
  • Use your industry knowledge to establish areas of opportunity with potential clients
  • Become an expert in product categories and advertising best practices in order to persuade marketers to consider Buchanan's tools
  • Use the skills you develop to close business with new clients
  • Build strong relationships with existing clients to grow book of business
  • Prepare quotes for qualified prospects and opportunities
