Business Development Manager

Our carbon farming operations are expanding across Australia to meet the rapidly-growing global demand for nature-based carbon solutions and we have a new and exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Partnerships Manager to join the team.

Reporting to the Head of Partnerships you’ll be driving Carbon Neutral’s ambition to help more clients measure, reduce and offset their emissions to become carbon neutral. Specifically, you will be:

• Proactively qualifying and responding to inbound leads.
• Driving new business growth through networking and referrals.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients.
• Facilitating the growth of strong referral sources, community links and new business partnerships.
• Retaining and growing existing key accounts by presenting new solutions.
• Helping clients meet their environmental and sustainability goals.
• Assisting with client renewals, proposals and contracts across a range of sectors and business sizes.
• Maintaining the smooth delivery of quality sales and administrative processes, including CRM management.

You will be well-connected within the business community and have a passion for addressing climate change and biodiversity loss.

You are a natural, polished and persuasive communicator able to influence and engage senior decision makers with your understanding of their needs and the solutions and benefits that Carbon Neutral delivers.

In addition, you will have

• Tertiary qualification in a business, marketing, or related discipline
• Track record working in a client-facing role and B2B account management
• B2B sales, particularly writing and presenting proposals to senior people
• Exceptional written and oral communications skills
• Strong IT literacy, particularly MS Office and CRM systems
• Positive approach to change and continuous improvement
