About the Person

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences in order to be successful in the position:
Experience in any of the following work or industries; City and Commercial Construction & Maintenance, Green Energy, Mining and Oil and Gas
Established network within these industries with the ability to convert your network and contacts into new business opportunities
Experience in estimating work, submitting quotes, and presenting to clients to win work
Excellent client relationship and communication skills
Excellent administrative and computer skills
Awareness of financial controls and practices such as budgets
A thorough understanding of safe work practices that relate to working on work sites
Ability to go above and beyond to meet company objectives as well as ensuring customer satisfaction.

Networking

Identify and attend networking events regularly and where you can, promote SkyWalker products and services;
Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status;
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications, attending industry conferences, watching online video training; and
Host, attend and participate in client entertainment activities including functions held outside of normal business hours.


Lead Generation

Source and develop new leads for new clients from efforts such as networking, reading business news, LinkedIn, and making cold calls;
Bring to the attention of SkyWalker Management, initiatives that may contribute to better the company;
Capture all information in the relevant sales software and follow the appropriate sales processes; and
Contribute to SkyWalker marketing objectives including newsletter, website development, case studies and white papers.


Sales & Business Development

Contribute the development and implementation of the sales plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence;
Develop a pipeline of business opportunities that support SkyWalker’s annual sales goals;
Make formal presentations about SkyWalker’s products and services;
Drive revenue growth and achieve assigned sales targets;
Tender, bid and proposal planning, preparation and delivery;
Research who bid for and who won Tenders to develop subcontract agreements;
Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by collaborating with clients and understanding their needs;
Follow up leads and complete client briefs as needed;
Plan each interaction with the client with the intention of moving them along the path to purchase, i.e. progressing the sale;
Overseeing development of the sales process;
Managing a team of Project Managers to produce proposals and follow-up pending sales
Oversee the creation of compelling proposals and presentations, ensuring they align with client needs and the company's capabilities.
Lead contract negotiations, collaborating with legal and finance teams to secure favorable terms for SkyWalker Rope Access.
Ensuring effective engagement and handover of projects to Project Managers;
Capturing all information in the relevant sales software and follow the appropriate sales processes;


Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and concerns.
Facilitate smooth onboarding processes for new clients, ensuring a positive and efficient transition into partnership with SkyWalker Rope Access
Present proposals to client face-to-face where possible and close the sale;
Negotiate terms of contract and pricing with clients, in consultation with the SkyWalker team;
Cultivate and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, fostering a sense of trust and collaboration.
Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on project progress, share relevant industry insights, and address any concerns proactively.
Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional services, ensuring clients are aware of the full range of capabilities SkyWalker Rope Access offers
Serve as a client advocate within SkyWalker Rope Access, ensuring that client feedback is heard and integrated into internal processes for continuous improvement.


General Operations

Contribute to the development and execution of brand-building initiatives to enhance the company's visibility and reputation in the market
Work closely with the managament team to align business development efforts with marketing campaigns, ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach.
Generate regular reports on business development activities, team performance, and the achievement of business development goals.
Present forecasted sales and GP to the General Manager and Managing Director (as required); and
Carry out other tasks as required from time to time under the direction of the Managing Director and General Manager.
