Description:
With our exiting growth trajectory, we are looking for someone to maintain and build on Yumbah’s strong relationships across wholesalers, retail and food services across the Eastern Seaboard of Australia. The role will require working with end customers to build relationships and brand equity that will be supplied via wholesales partner customers (primarily focused on Food Service business).
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver sales outcomes to agreed budgets – initial sales focus on Mussels and Oysters but operating across the Yumbah Basket (Abalone, Mussels, and Oysters)
- Business development / key account management – work with current wholesalers and create new account relationships
- Execution of new sales opportunities – working closely with the Head of Sales / Marketing, develop and execute the East Coast Strategy
- Develop an understanding of our customer base in order articulate/demonstrate the Yumbah proposition
- Regularly engage, negotiate and deliver presentations with key decision makers
- Frequent travel – across South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania to familiarise yourself with our product, story and people.
- Regular reporting to the Head of Sales / Marketing and the Finance team.
We’re looking for an energetic and passionate Business Development Manager who has:
- Extensive experience in Sales/Business Development and Account Management within the Food/Beverage and/or FMCG industries
- An understanding of and experience in building value through joint business planning with customers
- Ability to identify and articulate value opportunities by working with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and Operations to build customer and brand equity
- Extensive experience working with wholesale, foodservice and retail customers
- Strong commercial acumen and cost/margin understanding
