About the role

If you are a passionate and experienced Business Development Manager looking for your next opportunity, we are looking for a dynamic personality to join our team and a trusted advisor to our business customers.

Utilising the product offering of ActewAGL Energy Solutions, this role will be focused on delivering innovative and sustainable energy products to the capital region. Energy solutions products include but are not limited to commercial solar and energy storage, EV charging solutions, commercial lighting upgrades and hot water system upgrades

Reporting to the Energy Solutions Manager, you will develop, execute and manage key customer accounts and achieving results that translate to quantifiable commercial outcomes.

  • Create and execute sales strategies to defend and extend market penetration
  • You’ll be our ‘Subject Matter Expert’ for energy solutions
  • Turn sales leads into executed sales
  • Identify, develop and drive revenue streams that support strategic business objectives
  • Project manage Energy Solutions campaigns
  • Represent ActewAGL at functions and networking events to build product awareness and identify new sales leads
  • Build strong working relationships with iconic Canberra businesses, suppliers and internal business areas

About You

  • You have experience in business development or sales
  • You have strong business acumen, are commercially focused and are a confident sales communicator
  • You enjoy negotiating and executing new contracts and agreements, as well as tracking sales performance to targets and KPIs
  • Strong people skills, and can build relationships, both internal and external
  • It would be highly regarded if you have some project management experience
