As a manufacturer, they are able to produce a range of products for a variety of applications (both internal and external) including panels, facades, walling, flooring, trimming and tile underlay that can be used in both commercial and residential projects.

THE ROLE

  • Based in Melbourne, you will be responsible for clients based in Melbourne and its surrounding suburbs.
  • Our client supplies the market with fibre cement products used for various applications in the building/construction space (i.e., walling, facades, cladding, flooring etc…).
  • You will be selling these products through their Residential builder customer base onsite.
  • This is NOT an order taking role or a simple account management job. This role will require you to work strategically with the builder customer base and influence them towards your product set.
  • You will be working closely with the Field Sales Manager who will provide you full product and market training.

THE CANDIDATE

  • THE MOST IMPORTANT THING: A background selling and dealing with Builders ideally within the residential space, however you may also have come from a more commercial or civil background.
  • You can come with a sales background in building materials, construction, industrial - this will be advantageous with a preference to understand the builder client base.
  • Positive attitude, sales process, professionalism, an engaging personality and someone who is driven to take their career to the next level.
  • The focus will be on your soft skills - sales methodology, communication, willingness to learn, team player mentality, commercial acumen and relationship building skills.
