Do you have experience with a GRC vendor or Big 4 GRC tech team? Do you enjoy partner sales, enablement and driving the success of partnerships? We have a new role for a BDM to work with a new GRC Partner. This field-based role is focused on opening new business and delivering sales by bringing an innovative risk and compliance software and content solutions to the advisory market and sales enabling the partner effectively.

Working in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders, the role will target mostly existing accounts within medium to large legal firms, accounting firms, risk and cyber-security practices. Subject matter expertise in risk, compliance or related fields is an advantage.

About The Role

In this new role of Business Development Manager – GRC, you will:

  • Be responsible for driving new sales to advisors and then through the advisors to their clients.
  • Selling innovative risk and compliance software and content solution to pre-defined target segment (advisory market and their end user clients)
  • Generating new business opportunities and closures, often working with other Thomson Reuters sales representatives (eg Strategic Account Managers) and external business partners
  • Prospecting and demonstrating Thomson Reuters’ capability to customers and prospects, develop proposals, negotiate contracts and close new business
  • Delivering revenue, generating new opportunities, following and developing opportunities and leads provided by other sources
  • Adhering to weekly activities targets and other relevant KPIs
  • Gathering feedback from customers and prospects, maintain accurate customer contact and opportunity data in the appropriate CRM system, become the product champion
  • Building knowledge of competition, conduct win/loss analyses, maintain strong awareness of market and industry trends
  • Developing product, industry and market knowledge

About You

You’re a fit for the role if you have:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in professional field sales or SaaS business development role in a complex sales environment
  • Risk management, compliance or GRC qualifications or sales experience preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent commercial acumen; and negotiation, presentation and consultative sales skills
  • Ability to partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders
