We are actively seeking a proven strategic sales professional for our IT Solutions business. The Business Development Manager will be a vital member of our dynamic, engaging and very successful IT Solutions Sales Team. Reporting to the General Manager IT Solutions, this is a rare opportunity for a strategic sales professional to take their career to the next level and make a real impact by working with our business to grow the company’s products and services and contribute to our goal of being a valued customer partner

Driving sales through direct and indirect engagements, you will be involved in driving sales activities from initial prospect identification to deal closure. In addition to this, you will develop a strategy and sales plan to address IT Solutions (including Managed Services, Data Centre & Cloud Services) and will be comfortable with direct customer consulting and client development.

Your Success Will Be Measured On Your Ability To

  • Building successful customer relationships for the purpose of identification, qualification and closure of opportunities to secure IT Solutions (including Data Centre & Cloud Services) revenue and profit growth.
  • The development, management and articulation of market propositions
  • The meeting and surpassing of defined revenue and sales targets

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategy and sales plan to address IT Solutions globally (including Data Centre & Cloud Services).
  • Research and communicate current industry trends, drivers and potential for future growth or opportunities
  • Initiate calls to new prospects to introduce Hansen products, services and solutions
  • Build an external network and reply on existing to promote the company and its products
  • Develop business contacts and maintain successful client relationships
  • Prepare written sales materials to present to customers
  • Identify and coordinate internal and partner resources to support the sales process
  • Manage client satisfaction as an account manager in the initial stages of the relationship
  • Maintain an understanding of Hansen’s strategic direction, interpreting its relevance to the territory/industry
  • Sustain awareness of Hansen’s current and future products and services strategies
  • Deliver and coordinate customer presentations and demonstrations
  • Represent Hansen at industry forums and exhibitions/tradeshows
  • Work with Account Managers as the subject matter expert on data centre and cloud solutions.

About You

You are an achiever, you have a demonstrable track record as Business Development Manager within an IT environment, and are regularly commended internally and by your clients for being someone who is well presented, optimistic with a ‘can do’ attitude and takes pride in delivering great results. Your experience can be summed by as:

  • Proven experience and success across all sale activities including generation and management of opportunities, deal crafting, deal closing and client relationship management
  • An excellent strategic capability in balancing commercial outcomes and customer needs which is underpinned by your in-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, data centres, industry trends, and competition.
  • A true people person, who is authentic, resilient and considerate of your impact on others which means you are able to lead, influence, negotiate and engage at all levels.
  • A curious and consultative nature that can successfully introduce a range of business solutions in a way that is clearly understood by customers
