Description:
Currently, they are seeking an experienced and accomplished Business Development Manager to join their team in driving the development and successful execution of their utility-grade renewable energy projects.
As the Business Development Manager, your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of project development, including identifying and assessing potential business opportunities, negotiating contracts, managing project budgets and timelines, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective business development strategies specifically tailored for utility-grade renewable energy projects in Australia.
- Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, encompassing site identification, land acquisition, and project financing.
- Conduct negotiations with key stakeholders and partners, such as landowners, government agencies, suppliers, and investors, to establish mutually beneficial contracts.
- Oversee project budgets and timelines, ensuring timely and within-budget project delivery.
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with stakeholders and partners, including investors, government agencies, industry associations, and community groups.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and policy changes related to renewable energy and utilities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development specifically focused on utility-grade renewable energy projects, preferably in Australia.
- Demonstrated success in identifying and closing new business opportunities.
- Proficient in negotiation and contract management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to foster strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of analyzing complex data and making well-informed decisions.
- Experience in project management, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- In-depth knowledge of the Australian renewable energy market, regulations, and policy landscape.
