About Us

Woolworths ExportCo was recently formed to bring together all of Woolworths export activity from across the Group into a single team to support our group-wide export strategy to continue to take our brands to the world. In pulling various businesses together there is a requirement to transform the way we work and set ourselves up for the future growth we are going to achieve.

We currently have customers purchasing our own brand packaged goods, wine and meat in more than 20 different countries across the Pacific, China, Asia and the Middle East.

ExportCo also has a significant mandate for growth and is actively involved in seeking new customers in new markets. This involves careful due diligence and relationship building to ensure a good fit. It involves building ranges that suit the market, negotiating commercial arrangements, on-boarding the customer and then moving to active, ongoing account management.

The Role

As the result of growth, this role has come about to support the strategy and growth of our Fresh Produce export business through active business development and operational excellence supplying new and existing customers.

In this role you’ll be accountable for category sales and E2E profit performance and overall strategic direction of the Fresh produce export business within Woolworths International. You will have financial and operational responsibility for the profitability of the Categories through close management of the profitability, sales and credits/claims to ensure a sustainable and scalable export model into various countries and channels whilst leveraging and aligning with the overall Woolworths produce supply strategy.

Key Accountabilities Will Include

  • Developing export strategies to grow new long term sustainable product/customer growth(Meat/Fresh/Grocery)
  • Understanding the channel structures and pricing mechanics of each market to help ensure that Woolworths is set up to provide optimal supply
  • Supporting the financial build of the different e2e P&L models for different countries/products
  • Developing relationships with produce suppliers through internal category managers to identify opportunities based upon growing seasons, excess demand and sales opportunities.
  • Working closely with new customers to meet their requirements and maximise demand for Woolworths products
  • Developing strategy to grow new long term sustainable product growth by working closely with the BDM’s and partners to understand our customer demand and developing trends
  • Working closely with produce commercial teams and suppliers to leverage current teams and supply base
