Position In a Nut Shell
As the Senior Business Development Manager, you will be the forefront of the business, making inroads into the high end residential, apartments, hospitality, and commercial sectors by liaising and negotiating with builders and delivering through our clients selected retailers. This will be a field based position with internal support from their showroom and other sales staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities that will lead to new sales, with the focus on upcoming multi residential and commercial projects (high end resi, apartments, commercial offices, hotel chains and other hospitality spaces).
- Targeting the developers and major builders to negotiate price and secure project specification, then directing through our clients selected retailers
- Driving the promotion of new and exclusive lines, increasing specifications and strengthening the sales pipeline
- Provide samples to builders and developers
- Leverage BCI and internal tools for project tracking and information
- Working closely with the existing internal A&D and Retail Reps
- Represent the brand at industry functions & entertain clients in social forums
- Provide market feedback for input into further product development
Ideal Experience
- Proven field sales experience specifically from within the commercial interiors sector - architectural hardware, flooring, carpet, benchtops, marble, stone, bathrooms, lighting would be a strong fit. We are also open to applicants from other products (including external products) as long as the relationships with below builders are strong
- Strong relationships with developers and major builders is essential, as well as the ability to manage the relationship / process with a retailer
- Recent success in winning and managing projects in the high end residential / multi-res / commercial / hotel / hospitality space
- Stable career history
