Hudson are supporting our client in heading into an exciting local growth phase capitalising on the global businesses and growth. This role seeks an entrepreneurial leader in setting up new business steams, processes and opportunities and managing existing key clients and accounts.
This role will be responsible for the growth of existing business together with expansion into new and existing clients and sectors. You will be a hands-on people person and business manager with proven experience in leading a business and sales growth within a successful business in Heavy Industry.
Main Responsibilities
- The role will have a 50/50 split between Account Management (retention of key accounts) and Business Development that will require strategy development to increase market share.
- To devise and implement development plans for the successful future growth of our QLD/NSW business, and to provide technical sales support for the full range of products
- Development of annual sales and marketing plans together with forecasts for regions, for existing and new clients.
- To negotiate both the technical and commercial details of the proposals and close the sale on all enquiries within acceptable company limits, maximising margins wherever possible.
- Maintaining and building strong, long-lasting client relationships locally and internationally.
- Managing the entire sales pipeline including identifying and connecting with potential new clients, preparing sales collateral, reviewing agreements, forecasting sales and systems setup.
- Effectively communicating the value proposition through proposals and presentations internally and externally.
- The ability to lead and manage and grow a new business within a large supportive global company.
- Working with the sales, engineering, operations, manufacturing functions and teams across the business nationally.
Skills & Experience
- Working experience in and across Civil Infrastructure, Geotechnical Engineering, Transport, Construction or Engineering Consultancy in a leadership or as an account or business manager
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of an organisation, internally and externally.
- Proven ability to articulate distinct advantages of products in the Australian Transport Construction industry are essential for this role.
- Ability to prepare reports and be proficient at analysing data, building reporting and making strategic recommendations based on data and trends.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines locally and build relationships in key areas like Roads, Rail, Tier 1-2 Contractors, Road Authorities.
- Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with double digit growth.
- Experience in Geogrids, Pavement Life Cycle and Sustainability benefits, Reinforced Soil/Pavement/Platform Design.
- A strong knowledge and working experience in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or degree qualifications are highly desirable.
