The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager will work collaboratively with the Executive Team to identify and recruit new VMOs and Doctors to the hospital.

The BDM will be the conduit between new and existing specialists, referrers (including GP Clinics) and patients. You will work on engaging and organizing General Practitioner events and CPD evenings and engaging in face to face lead generation.

You will possess sound knowledge, understanding, credibility and experience within the Health sector, demonstrated relationship network and management as well as the drive to seek out and build a pipeline of relationships with GP’s and the medical specialist community. With a focus on new business planning, development and reporting.

Main Task and Responsibilities:

  • Proven excellent relationship management skills
  • 5-10 years of sales or business development experience in Health services
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Commonwealth and State health regulations, policies, key health industry trends, reform agendas and funding arrangements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration, project management, marketing or in a relevant field and/or significant experience working in a similar role in health services
  • Experience developing targeted business development strategies
  • Prospecting and Sales Planning skills
