About the role

An exciting new role has been created within Liebherr’s Component Division based in either WA, QLD, NSW or SA. Working as part of a global team this role is focussed on developing the Components Divisions repower business in Australia, promoting, and supporting powertrain components such as engines and drives for Liebherr and non-Liebherr heavy mining equipment. This role is reporting directly to the General Manager for the Components Division in Australia.

Duties

  • Develop and implement a local 360° business strategy for engine repower with a strong focus on the aftermarket.
  • Become the local “champion” for repower
  • Analyse customer demand in Australia’s mining business with a structured, but pragmatic approach and translate into specification for engineering
  • Work closely with the other divisions of Liebherr Australia
  • Acquisition of new customer with full regional responsibility
  • Support of customer projects in all commercial and technical aspects together with team
  • Coordination of portfolio and customer projects with European Business Units and local stakeholders and BU’s
  • Devise and Implement sales initiatives and maintain CRM Systems accordingly
  • Support components service strategy both externally and internally with a hands-on approach

Skills & Experience

  • Ideally a deep technical understanding of mining excavator-/truck engines
  • Experience and proven success in sales and/or service with powertrain components and engines in heavy machinery/components in the mining industry or associated companies
  • Customer focused with excellent social, verbal and written skills required
  • Flexibility to travel extensively to customer sites and internationally
  • Establish and sustain robust/effective long-term relationships
