Business Development Lead

 

Description:

The Business Development Lead will play a key strategic role in supporting the growth and development of business opportunities (inclusive of partnerships, consultancy projects, grants development, and executive education opportunities) within the Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Futures Institute (AICF) portfolio.

Define and plan business development activity across the AICF, liaise with potential partners and customers, expedite contracting, and support the delivery of business goals. The role ensures that the AICF is expanding its reach, creating new business opportunities, and delivering innovative solutions in accordance with Charles Sturt University's standards as well as national and international standards.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and applying an effective business development strategy that drives sustainable financial growth and for forging strong relationships with partners. The Business Development Lead will work with AICF team and AICF industrial group and partners to develop mutually beneficial proposals, negotiate contract terms, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

To be successful you will have:

  • a degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • relevant experience in business development, preferably in one or more of the Institute’s areas of interest.
  • excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • proven experience in closing deals and delivering contractual agreements in collaboration with legal advisors/units.
  • proven track record in generating new business and meeting financial targets.
