Our client is a B2B lighting supply company dealing exclusively with the trade industry. Their business is growing and they are currently looking to fill the position of Business Development & Sales Representative. In your new role, you will be responsible for generating a high-value sales pipeline through both strategic and targeted prospecting.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person! If you are sales-driven, self-starter and a go-getter, you might just be the person we’re looking for. The ideal candidate will manage all facets of the sales process, all account dealings, and liaison.
This is initially a part-time position that could turn into full-time.
- Meeting sales and prospecting minimum standards as per KPIs
- Generating new business leads, increasing sales and brand’s reach
- Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services
- Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients
- Assist in the overall development and implementation of sales strategies
- Face-to-face sales interaction and lead generation by tracking new businesses
- Provide an exceptional level of customer service throughout the sales and after-sales process
- Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders
- Coordinating sales ePorts with marketing programs
- Representing the company as a lighting product expert
- Answering client questions about products, prices, and availability
- Communicate effectively to all internal and external stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong business and client relationships
- Understanding and promoting company programs
- Assist in the implementation and delivery of bid strategies leading to successful bids, including market research and intelligence
- Support and lead on small-scale funding applications and grants
- Provide information and tender support to BD team
- Following up actions from meetings with appropriate people as required
- Ensure bid feedback is collected on successful/unsuccessful proposals
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or related field
- Understanding of the sales process and dynamics
- Business development experience within the enterprise and commercial segment, particularly handling prospects from Australia
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers
- Leadership experience
- Must have a current C-class driver’s license
- Electrical wholesale/design background would be a PLUS!
