An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated individual to join our Business Development team. Reporting to the National Manager – Business Development you will be responsible for:
- Growing MIGA’s business to meet agreed growth targets in WA across the following key market segments:
- Fully insured
- Healthcare
- Hospital
- Students
- Developing and implementing marketing and promotional initiatives
- Identifying sales opportunities and implementing sales strategies
- Handling insurance and membership enquiries from current and prospective clients
- Providing back up and support to Business Development staff in other states at student events, intern orientations and other medical/healthcare related conferences and events
What you’ll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Have proven sales and marketing experience, preferably within the insurance industry or a member-based organisation
- Have demonstrated experience in implementing and reporting on successful sales strategies, experience in new business generation and a confident ability in delivery of presentations
- Ideally have worked in the health care sector or have a good working knowledge of the industry
- Ideally have experience and working knowledge within the public hospital sector
- Ideally have experience in medical indemnity or professional indemnity insurance.
- Hold and maintain Tier 2 education level as per ASIC PS 146 Licensing: Training of financial product advisors
