In a nutshell, we help medical specialists run their practices – but it is so much more than that. We create an environment where doctors can lean on us and know we ‘have their back’. Every one of us will need a medical specialist at some point in our lives so it is an honour to be able to assist them by providing a backbone of trust and support throughout their time in practice. We help our doctors to recruit, manage staff, renovate their rooms, develop professional relationships with referrers, deliver educational medical talks, develop educational clinical podcasts, design their websites and branding and running their entire administrative function and keeping them up to date on all changes and developments within the private practice sector. Our goal for 2023 is to grow RWS by 30%, whilst ensuring we maintain an outstanding level of service for our existing clients – This is where you come in.
About the role
We need a dedicated business development/marketing specialist with a science background. To date, our team have organised the business development/marketing tasks, but our team are busy helping our clients, so we need a dedicated person to work alongside me (director) and the RWS client manager to operate this area of the business more efficiently.
This role will require you to work with our team to organise a marketing and business development plan for RWS and then manage its roll-out. You will work closely with the company director and client manager. You don’t need to have a detailed, technical understanding all the ‘ins and outs’ of IT programs, websites, and social media as we have a team of individuals that are specialists in this area. They will be there to assist you as you need – but you do need to be incredibly organised, well-presented, and personable.
The role is full-time with some flexibility regarding working arrangements once you know the role. The salary offered will be commensurate with your experience.
About you
We need someone who has enormous passion and energy to push the business to new heights. We would love someone with a background in bio-med or science. We currently have many employees from these industries and have found them to be awesome – they understand doctors and are capable, efficient, and caring people. You need to be IT savvy and be a pretty good writer for copy purposes.
You must have 1–2 years’ experience successfully working in the business development/marketing area for a small company (preferably science-based). You need to show me how you successfully have set-up, actioned and measured business development and marketing strategies for growth where you have worked.
Australian driver’s license is required. The successful applicant is required to have full working rights in Australia and will be asked for relevant documentation during the recruitment process.
