ANU has an international reputation for research and education relevant to the health and well-being of the population of Australia, as well as that of the developing world. This is achieved through discovery research, applied research in health service settings, research-led teaching in health and medical sciences, and the translation of research findings into practice and policy. The ANU College of Health and Medicine comprises the School of Medicine and Psychology, the John Curtin School of Medical Research and the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health. These schools work together to deliver world-class research and education across the spectrum of medicine and health-related fields, working in partnership with the health sector at local, national and international levels.

The School of Medicine and Psychology (SMP) is the only medical school in Canberra with partnerships with the Canberra Hospital and Calvary Hospital, regional NSW hospitals and numerous general practices in the ACT and neighbouring regions of NSW, providing early and regular access to clinical teaching facilities. SMP comprises a Canberra based Clinical School, a Sydney Clinical School at the Sydney Adventist Hospital and a Rural Clinical School.

This position will be supporting the SMP Director, Manager and Executive in undertaking strategically critical tasks. Firstly, this position will help manage and coordinate the SMP medical school process of application for reaccreditation due in 2023. Secondly, this position will support the process of review and redesign of the medical school curriculum including all aspects of the medical school training pathway.
