Our client is a Brisbane based, family owned and operated business who service the Mechanical Engineering Industry. They are a solutions driven company who aim to consistently overcome their clients challenges and provide a holistic approach to all aspects of engineering.

They are focussed on achieving significant growth over the next 18-24 months and with a number of clients already in place and ready for expansion, there is a lot of potential for growth.
As the Business Development Manager you will be responsible for driving growth and developing the strategic pipeline for the business. Day to day you will liase with the Operations and Manufacturing teams to understand capability as well as the potential to drive new projects.

With an existing customer base you will be able to hit the ground running whilst building on this and gaining new leads.

Your role will include but not be limited to the following:
 

• Identifying potential clients and engaging with them
• Driving the company’s presence in the market
• Leveraging your network to create new sales opportunities
• Opportunity to join a family business with enormous potential
• Existing client base to work from
• Brand new company vehicle

This role will be best suited to someone equipped with an existing network of clients that can be leveraged. Additionally, you will have:

• A wealth of experience in the manufacturing industry ideally in mining, rail, marine or defence sales
• A can-do attitude and a track record of driving growth
• Experience working with local government and council is highly desirable
• Ability to analyse markets and determine new revenue streams
