Description:

You will be responsible for the expansion of sales and services to the design and trade sector in Sydney and will work closely with the marketing and design teams.

You will be entrepreneurial with demonstrated sales experience and success in securing new business within the design industry. You will be a self-starter with a sales focus, able to access new markets segments and build relationships. You will be comfortable working on your own as well as cohesively within a team. You will have a passion for design and a high standard of excellence in all that you do.

Business Development & Responsibilities

  • Analyse market segments and existing customer base & identify opportunities;
  • Prepare a sales strategy and plan for each market segment;
  • Create sales leads by cold calling;
  • Meet quarterly sales targets;
  • Secure, coordinate and manage large scale projects;
  • Submit activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses;
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques;
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments;
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Work with the marketing team to increase brand and product awareness on social media;
  • Plan and execute an annual marketing and promotional calendar for the trade market; and
  • Work from the Camperdown, Sydney showroom & create marketing events.
