Database Consultants Australia (“DCA”) is a well-established and reputable database management and software development company committed to delivering leading-edge software products and services.
Due to continuing growth, DCA is currently looking to recruit a talented Business Analyst to join our team. The successful person will take a leading role in analysing and documenting business requirements and generation of functional specification documents from those requirements.

Role responsibilities and duties include:

• Understanding the business requirements of the customers, translating them to specific software requirements documentation.
• Act as an interface between internal teams and customers in analysing and communicating the product direction and design.
• Performing general business consultancy to external clients.
• Keep abreast of other project activities with an eye to reuse of source code, concepts, designs or other project synergies.
• Ensuring sufficient information is provided as directed to allow relevant documentation to be produced; or, in some cases, responsible for production of documentation as requested.
• Devising implementation estimates
• Ensuring product changes are well designed; taking into account industry best practice principles of useability and user interface design as well as internal consistency with related product functionality and DCA standards
• Advising the Project Manager or Development Manager of any potential risks, limitations or impediments to progress
• Keeping accurate records of work progress and item status via the Item Tracking System
• Assisting with System Testing activities
