The opportunity

We are excited to announce that we have a permanent opportunity for a Health and Safety Analyst Grade 7 to join the Health and Safety Systems, Governance and Strategy team.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Health and Safety Systems Governance and Strategy, this is a dynamic role for a reporting analyst professional. This role’s primary purpose is to complete business information analysis to assist with implementation of strategic projects to develop initiatives for business improvement, shaping and driving high-priority and strategic, initiatives through analysing data.

As the Health and Safety Analyst, you will develop and maintain safety dashboards using various data visualisation applications such as Power BI, ensuring valid reliable data sources contribute to the matrix. You will be working collaboratively across business units, functional teams and delivery partners to provide support in improving the quality of all safety reporting by producing meaningful reporting and insights from enabling reports. You will assist leadership to analyse enterprise data for strategic outcomes, attend to ad hoc reporting requirements, provide external compliance and statutory reporting, and report to support service improvement projects.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Report on achievements against expectations and targets across the range of programs and strategies and recommend any required actions or interventions
  • Develop performance indicators and systems for monitoring strategies, particularly newly introduced programs
  • Identify areas requiring corrective actions, interventions and strategy refinement or rethink based on statistical and trend analysis
  • Assist with the development of business cases and improvement initiatives by providing and analysing information, including gap analysis and developing “what if” scenarios
  • Assist with developing the requirements and specifications for strategic projects or reform initiatives
