It is in this context that we are looking for a Business Analyst on a full-time permanent basis.

 

The Role

The Business Analyst role is a member of the Client Enablement team within the Distribution Unit. The BA role performs business analysis, data analysis and change management, in the business domains of corporate super, pensions, group insurance and financial advice.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder management: Identify and build relationships with the appropriate internal and external stakeholders; Proactively involve the right stakeholders in determining business needs and solution requirements; Engage them throughout the project to build understanding, support and change readiness.
  • Requirements analysis: Elicit, prioritise, validate, manage and communicate business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Solution selection: Collaborate with solution providers to identify viable options; Assist the project sponsor with making a decision that leads to optimal business outcomes.
  • Solution validation: Review and validate solution design and solution specifications against business requirements; Evaluate implemented solutions against operational acceptance criteria.
  • Testing Support: Collaborate with testers to ensure full understanding of business requirements, comprehensive, risk-based test coverage, and prompt defect resolution.
  • Business assurance: Ensure all work performed is auditable by internal and external auditors; Work with event owners to assess and resolve operational risk events; Collaborate with project managers to identify and mitigate project risks.

 

To Be Successful in This Role You Will Possess:

  • Superannuation Industry experience.
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including trustees, executives, managers, subject matter experts, corporate clients and super fund members.
  • Working knowledge of contemporary business analysis methodologies, practices, techniques and tools.
  • Practical understanding of project delivery lifecycles, methodologies and governance practices.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Work and MS Excel.
  • Strong domain knowledge of corporate super, pensions and group insurance products, business processes, the regulatory environment and legal principles are desirable.
  • Practical knowledge of superannuation administration systems SuperB and Compass are desirable.
  • Strong Insurance in super Knowledge is desirable. As well as proficiency in MS PowerPoint and MS Visio.
