Description:

Habitat for Humanity is a global not-for-profit provider of housing for low-income families in need. Habitat for Humanity works in thousands of communities around the world and has built, rehabilitated and repaired over one million homes, helping more than 39 million people. We are an inclusive workplace and believe that people should be employed on the basis of merit.

An established and well respected Not-For-Profit in Australia, Habitat for Humanity Australia (HFHA) takes its prominent place among marginalised communities nationally and globally in providing the most basic need for safe, reliable shelter. The Chair and Board of HFHAis resolute in their desire to govern well and support the CEO and management of HFHA to realise its strategic vision and uphold its principles.

A world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live.

We believe that faith is lived through action. Building on our Christian foundation, we serve and work with people of all faiths and beliefs in a spirit of justice and compassion.

We believe that people living in substandard shelter is socially, morally and spiritually unacceptable. It is incumbent upon us to put decent shelter on the hearts and minds of everyone.

We believe that access to safe, decent and affordable housing is a basic human right and should be available to all.

We believe that promoting sustainable community development outcomes transforms the lives of those in need of decent homes and the hearts and minds of everyone along the way.
