Reporting directly to the National Sales Operations Manager and as part of the wider National Sales team your role as a Bid Writer / Coordinator will support the Sales team's strategic focus of winning new business and growing our footprint in current accounts.

The key focus of this role is to work closely with the Sales teams to ensure high quality and professional customer focused proposals are created.

  • Overseeing assigned proposals ensuring compliance with the bid process and a strongly written document, managing the response document, and adhering to the governance process to ensure that Modis' proposal is customer focused, professional, high quality, and in line with Modis' corporate guidelines, quality and governance standards. Core responsibilities include:
    • Bid Coordination: Coordination of the bid process and the nominated bid team (Account, Sales and Solutions and team members) across multiple locations.
    • Bid Writing: Responsible for the quality of the proposal content, writing content, reviewing and editing content from team members, to form a strong written and customer focused response document.
    • Bid Production: Management of the response document, format, styles, graphics, and ensuring the production of a high quality and professional response document.
    • Governance: Ensuring the governance process is adhered to and facilitating the team through the process in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Coordination of internal bid team meetings, workshops, reviews and approval meetings.
  • Provision of objective advice to business stakeholders in the preparation of tender responses and in interpretation of client requirements.
  • Flexible, agile and innovative customer focused (internal & external) services, to all key stakeholders throughout the tender process.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in coordinating proposals, overseeing the tender process and producing a high quality and professional proposal.
  • Strong bid writing skills, with experience in writing professionally, preferably for business proposals.
  • Experience within the IT Industry.
  • Proven experience in developing strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Highly effective communication (written & verbal) skills teamed with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Detail orientated with a high work ethic.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, managing a geographically dispersed team.
  • Deep experience & skills with Microsoft Packages, Word and PowerPoint, and general experience with Excel.
