Brightside Recruitment has partnered with a national community disability support service provider who provide a range of specialist services including community outreach, recreational and residential services, ensuring their participants receive the support they need to live independent and fulfilled lives.

Role

The Behaviour Therapist will work as part of the team, to deliver best practice, evidence-based interventions and behaviour support via NDIS, aged-care, workers compensation or Medicare.

Sound Experience In NDIS Funding And Plan Management Required.

This role will entail outreach service delivery from clinic-based and Community-based settings.

Daily tasks will include;

  • Provide high quality assessments, intervention, and written reports.
  • Support people of all ages including children, adolescents, adult and elderly people.
  • Provide support to people with a wide range of problems who has intellectual disabilities, without intellectual disabilities, mental health, trauma, dual diagnosis, substance abuse, domestic violence and more.
  • Develop intervention plans, including short and long term goals, in line with the client’s NDIS goals.
  • Collaborate with the individuals to ensure the best plan in place.
  • Incorporate holistic approach to health care according to community and organisation priorities.
  • Work closely with support coordinators and referring clinics to track the clients progress.

Essential Criteria:

 

  • A recognised degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or related field.
  • Thorough understanding of the Quality and Safeguard Commission guidelines for restrictive practices and behavior support.
  • Compliance with all professional development requirements for maintenance of registration.
  • Compliance with all professional development requirements for maintenance of registration as a Behaviour Support Clinician with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Must have experience working within NDIS
  • Awareness of the rights of people with a disability.
  • Being flexible, adaptable and willingness to support participants.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office and computer literacy skills.
