Description:
In this role, you will develop a go-to-market strategy for Geotab’s channel expansion in APAC and oversee all BD activities within the region. Additionally, the role manages emerging markets of Southeast Asia and a team of BD managers assigned to hunt new business and grow Geotab pipeline in this key growth market. This strategy will maximize sales, open new resellers, market segments, and develop new pipeline opportunities around APAC. The overall BD lead will guide supporting BD managers in heavy truck, light duty, marketplace, signature accounts to focus on the overall goals of the region.
How you'll make an impact
- Provide technical consultation and subject matter expertise to customers and partners.
- Hunt, negotiate, onboard new resellers and customers (via channel partners) in APAC across all vertices including Telco, VAR,, Fmc, System integrator, HaaS partners.
- Develop Southeast Asia channel by recruiting resellers, engaging financial partners, and exploring local technology partners in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore
- Develop contracting options regionally and locally with partners.
- Identify and develop new and existing strategic customer accounts and enable Australia channel partners to grow business
- Provide product development recommendations and leadership to internal engineering teams
- Work with Geotab’s marketing team to develop a marketing strategy aligned with BD objectives and leverage global brands to drive Geotab's growth goals in APAC.
- Conduct primary and secondary market research to position Geotab’s solutions for widespread adoption in the marketplace
- Identify new areas for growth; propose and manage programs and initiatives accordingly
- Attend and lead trade shows and conferences to build company credibility, brand presence and identify potential new stakeholders
- Work closely with other BD leadership team to ensure all activities are aligned with the broader Geotab global and Regional goals
- Provide expert leadership and guidance to team as SME
- Oversee the activities and performance of direct reports: 4 BDMs across SEA and Australia
- Provide direction, coaching and mentorship to the team:
- Engage in the development of the team by coaching, providing feedback, identifying areas of growth and training opportunities.
- Collaborate and support employees during the performance management process, meeting KPAs and career development planning.
- Remote work environment but also support in office team in Adelaide and Singapore regularly
- Support Geotab global strategic initiatives.Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
