Automation Specialist

Description:

The Senior Automation Specialist will be responsible for managing and improving the Department’s Aria Automation, Operations, NSX, vSphere environment and physical compute infrastructures (rack mounted and blade servers) as part of the Infrastructure Platforms team. The person will also be responsible for creating blueprints and workflows that aim to improve efficiency of daily operational tasks, migrating to NSX-T from NSX-V, building and patching vCenters, ESXi servers and configuring physical compute as needed. The role requires producing design documents, build documents, operations document, handover and sharing of knowledge with other team members and mentoring other team members.

Essential Criteria Responses:

· Demonstrated experience in few of the following technologies:

1. Aria Automation 8.x

2. Aria Orchestrator

3. VMware NSX for vSphere

4. VMware NSX-T

5. VMware vSphere

6. Aria Operations

· Demonstrated scripting and coding experience in few of the following:

1. YAML

2. JavaScript

3. PowerShell

4. PowerCLI

· Experience / Knowledge of Kubernetes and Containerization.

· Ability to produce design, build and operations documentation for processes and procedures.

· Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills to collaborate with skilled technical people, including making presentations to staff and stakeholders and coaching staff.
