This is an exciting opportunity to join a mature automation practice where you will work in an agile environment with business stakeholders to identify, design, build and deploy automated solutions.

About The Role
As an Automation Developer, you will be involved in all aspects of the development lifecycle working in an agile environment to identify, build and deliver automated solutions. You will also be expected to bring your industry experience with intelligent automation tools and contribute to an environment of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.


To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Solid delivery experience in end-to-end lifecycle implementation of Robotic Process Automation or Cognitive Automation technologies, with Blue Prism Certification and/or experience highly desired
  • Solid understanding of Blue Prism Infrastructure and Robotic Operating Model (ROM)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for understanding and documenting requirements as well as presenting solutions to business stakeholders
  • A solid understanding of technology and architecture concepts including but not limited to OCR, AI, chat bots, virtual agents and human-in-the-loop/attended automation tools
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record in project delivery and working with business areas to support the development and delivery of automated solution designs, an understanding or experience in agile methodology is a plus
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science, Business related discipline and/or relevant experience in a similar role

The Intelligent Process Automation Team within Revenue NSW is a mature automation practice which has developed extensive robotic process automation (RPA) capabilities using Blue Prism as its core tool over the last 4 years. This multi-award winning (2022 APAC Winner Blue Prism Customer Excellence Awards for Business Value Driver, DCS Secretary’s Award 2021 Support Team of the Year) and globally recognised Team is a leader in process automation within the public sector.

With over 100 automations in production, the team is currently expanding this offering to include new capabilities such as: Human-in-the-Loop automations; intelligent character recognition (ICR) and other OCR tools, chat bots and virtual agent tools; and overlaying AI and Machine Learning capabilities.
