The opportunity

The Associate Project Manager position is a fixed term opportunity that is responsible for supporting the effective delivery and implementation of strategic projects across the Customer Environment Portfolio. The position is responsible for managing assigned projects to meet operating requirements to optimise business and customer outcomes across the Customer Environment Portfolio.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage assigned projects that provide high-level support to executive team, and prepare and coordinate meeting papers, briefs, business cases and reports to enable effective project planning and delivery within agreed requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate the provision of business administration services and resources, including determining priorities and allocating and monitoring workload of the Area’s team, ensuring service delivery is both efficient and cost-effective.
  • Monitor the delivery of projects including assessing business and system requirements specifications, project processes across the program, managing cost, invoicing and payments.
  • Prepare and review plans, reports and assessments, and undertake routine site inspections to identify issues and support compliance relating to Customer Environment projects.
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Project Manager to coordinate a collaborative approach to managing projects and supporting resources.
  • Provide comprehensive project support to Project Managers working on the delivery of the projects.
  • Provide comprehensive project support to the division including planning and implementation activities to facilitate successful project delivery and reporting.
  • Support resources to ensure effective project delivery that meets budget and timeframe requirements.
  • Execute safety responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities consistent with Sydney Trains safety management system requirements which are defined in SMS document number SMS-02-RG-3058.
