Associate Lecturer In Interprofessional Rural Education

This is an exciting opportunity for an Associate Lecturer to join the Department of Rural Health, supporting the University Department of Rural Health Program. The team works in diverse ways to ensure that students from a range of different education providers have a quality rural placement experience.

The position will be responsible for facilitating placements in rural settings, ensuring educational support and supervision is of high quality, and actively promoting the GRH Student Support Program. The role engages with community and health services, designs and develops innovative placements, provides education and resources, and mentors students, supervisors and others involved with rural placements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engage with community and health services to enhance student education and placements in rural health.
  • Design and develop new and innovative rural placements in both traditional and non-traditional settings using diverse models.
  • Ensure GRH placements meet the learning needs of students from a very broad range of health disciplines and education providers.

Who We Are Looking For
To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build successful partnerships, and maintain stakeholder relationships. You will also have demonstrated experience in supporting, facilitating or developing student placements in rural settings.

You will also have:

  • Qualification in a nursing or allied health discipline
  • Demonstrated innovation in nursing and/or allied health education in a rural setting.
  • Experience in student support, individual mentoring and/or one-on-one education.
