Associate Director Media

Description:

The Media, Social Media and Design team is part of the DCJ Communications branch and is responsible for creating content and responding to inquiries related to the Communities and Justice portfolios.

The successful applicant will manage a team responsible for media inquiries, media responses, media releases, DCJ and ministerial announcements, media campaigns and media issues management.

They will work collaboratively with staff and Ministerial Offices to deliver effective and relevant media services in a manner that reflects organisational priorities and upholds and promotes the reputation of DCJ.

Tertiary qualifications in media/communications and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.

The ideal candidate will have leadership skills and experience in managing a high performing team. They will have the ability to work under pressure in a busy and complex environment of sensitive content and issues across broad policy areas and multiple portfolios.
