Associate Director

Description:

As the Associate Director, Finance Business Performance you will report into the Chief Financial Officer and will lead a team of finance business partners who undertake detailed financial analysis, evaluation and reporting of university financial plans and performance and provide analytical support and advice to their respective Operational Unit, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

This role will ideally suit a finance professional who has experience in leading business partner teams, who has the ability to build capability and lead from the front and who has well developed analytical experience.

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

• Considerable experience in a large, complex, commercial accounting environment with provide demonstratable management and commercial accounting skills, including financial planning and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence discussions at a senior stakeholder level, including the use of data and analytics to demonstrate scenarios and outcomes to support the decision-making process and communicate complex ideas and issues in simple clear language so that other understand.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and reporting against key performance metrics (financial and nonfinancial) as a means of tracking business outcomes and as a platform for long term planning.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and coach a team of client and commercially focused team of analysts.
• High level of personal effectiveness, particularly organisation skills and the ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring deadlines are consistently met within compromising on quality and accuracy.
