Description:

As an Investment Associate, you will primarily be responsible for assisting the team with the origination and execution of investment opportunities as well as ongoing management of existing portfolio companies.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

·      Supporting senior executives in the identification of infrastructure opportunities in new and existing sectors;

·      Providing high quality qualitative and quantitative support to the team’s assessment of new opportunities;

·      Contributing to the assessment of opportunities and assisting with due diligence workstreams associated with transactions;

·      Adopting an owner’s mindset approach to the management of portfolio companies to drive value and innovation, including the identification and execution of value-add projects;

·      Pro-active management of portfolio companies (as part of a team) including attending board meetings, participating in strategic discussions and undertaking financial analysis;

·      Presenting to portfolio company boards, Investment Committees and other key stakeholders (both internal and external);

·      Assessment of investment thematics and strategies for investment opportunities;

·      Detailed financial modelling, analysis and review, including valuation; and

·      Transaction co-ordination and management of external advisers

 

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will preferably have:

·      2-4 years of experience gained within M&A advisory, investment management (private equity, core plus, Infrastructure, Impact).

·      Strong tertiary academic results

·      Deal experience across infrastructure and/or private equity

·      Strong financial modelling and quantitative analysis skills

·      Exposure to due diligence and deal management, including leading or managing due diligence processes and liaising with advisers

·      An ability to be proactive and self-start

·      Willingness to learn and tackle new challenges, demonstrate hands-on initiative and thrive in a dynamic and flexible environment

·      Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills

·      A desire to work within the impact investment space
