Assistant Psychologist

Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Assistant Psychologist to support Practitioner Psychologists and Mental Health Practitioners in the delivery of specialist assessments and interventions to service users who present with complex mental health conditions. The role is a varied role and provides opportunity to build upon clinical skills, utilise service evaluation and research skills and develop multidisciplinary team working skills; therefore good time keeping skills and being able to manage multiple, competing demands are essential to the role.

Main duties of the job
 

• Providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions, individual and group based, under the close supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist, working independently according to a plan agreed with the Clinical Psychologist and within the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures.
• To work collaboratively with all pathway colleagues. To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, and development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.
• To assist in the facilitation, administration and evaluation of workshops
