Description:

National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for an Assistant Project Officer, Conservation to work as part of the team contributing towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage.

As an Assistant Project Officer, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive range of high level administrative and project support, including project research, analysis, reporting, implementation and related administrative tasks to support the development and delivery of projects. You will support the team to facilitate conservation programs/projects to protect natural and cultural heritage values.

You’ll be able to demonstrate your ability to meet deadlines and undertake and/or support multiple projects in a high-volume work environment. You will have good project management and coordination skills and ideally have previous experience in a similar project support role. Your communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and stakeholders will be an advantage to you in this role.

  • Experience in the provision of administrative and support services.
  • Experience in development and delivery of programs and projects.
  • Understanding of contemporary project management principles and practices.
