Assistant Project Officer

Description:

An exciting opportunity exists for an Assistant Project Officer to join the Customer Experience & Program Delivery (CXPD) stream in the Better Regulation Division (BRD). The CXPD stream is a newly established team that will deliver priority and strategic programs across the business which aligns with strategic direction and executive priorities.

We are changing the way regulation is done in NSW Government and aim to leave a legacy where we deliver a true customer and community first approach through our regulators including SafeWork, Fair Trading and the Building and Property Commissions.

How do we better understand the needs of our customers and not simply adopt a one approach for everyone? How do we improve and streamline our processes to reduce lengthy delays that can impact our basic human needs of shelter and a safe place to live?

This brand new team will work from the inside out to combine customer experience with program delivery to achieve a harmonious balance between delivering on our role as a regulator but ensuring that the customer is always first.

Whilst we have big goals to achieve in modernising customer centric practices and delivering on daily outcomes, the scope to work on some diverse programs and build a function from the beginning is an exciting opportunity.

These roles will support the transformation of the internal strategic direction of BRD including:

  • designing, delivering, and coordinating key strategic or regulatory projects
  • delivering executive support, governance, and internal compliance activities
  • delivering business implementation and transformational change activities.
