SSP supports the core business of departments and agencies by ensuring they receive real estate, facilities, library and carpool services that are efficient, innovative and of the highest quality.
About the role
The SSP Strategy and Densification team is looking for an experienced Assistant Portfolio Manager (VPS5), to join its team on a 24-month, fixed term, full time contract. Reporting to Director Owned Property Portfolio, as the Assistant Portfolio Manager you will:
 

  • Develop and implement targeted client portfolio relationship management and engagement strategies for the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF) freehold commercial portfolio to proactively build and maintain constructive relationships with key stakeholders
  • Manage communications with occupants for the portfolio, including preparation and implementation of communication plans for capital works.Develop, maintain and share insights about client portfolio profiles, regularly reporting on emerging client priorities, issues, risks and opportunities to inform SSP delivery and strategies
  • Collaborate with SSP colleagues to support a seamless and effective onboarding of a new service level agreement.
  • Identify and pursue potential business development opportunities in line with SSP strategic goals, including improved utilisation of existing service offerings, management of new client pipeline or potential new service offerings
  • Proactively contribute to SSP culture and business transformation initiatives to improve seamless, integrated customer focused service delivery across the business

About you

  • Exceptional communication (written and interpersonal) skills with demonstrated ability to strategically plan and manage stakeholder relationships and networks to achieve business goals and strategies
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver effective communication / engagement plans that contribute to successful program or business outcomes
  • Strong collaboration, influencing and negotiation skills with ability to confidently engage and build trust with diverse stakeholders. Includes ability to proactively manage stakeholder risk and issues and navigate competing interests or views
  • Exceptional time management and organisation skills, able to apply sound judgement to effectively resolve issues, manage concurrent projects and competing demands with minimal direction
  • Strategic and analytic skills, able to interpret data, trends and translate this into meaningful reporting and recommendations to solve problems and support continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to be agile, resilient and thrive in a dynamic, fast paced and customer focused environment
