Our client, a Federal Agency, is looking for an EL1 Level - Assistant Director Strategy, Communications and Innovation to join their team. The EL1 Level - Assistant Director Strategy, Communications and Innovation is an important team leadership position within the agency and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across wide-ranging activities of substantial depth involving significant detail. It will provide the leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for team members and contractors
As an EL1 Level - Assistant Director Strategy, Communications and Innovation you will be:
- Leading the design, implementation and evaluation of policies and strategies that will improve the service experience of LGBTIQA+ participants, their families and support networks
- Determining strategic direction for the work area and align longer-term planning with agency goals, values, and objectives to promote the NDIA's commitments of the LGBTIQA+ Strategy
- Developing complex policies, plans and strategies that require a detailed analysis of diverse research, data and views
- Providing strategic leadership through secretariat support for the Internal Advisory Group
- Coordinating implementation of Scheme reforms and changes and business improvement strategies for LGBTIQA+ people with disability
- Preparing reports, briefing papers, speeches, Ministerial correspondence and discussion papers for review by Senior Executives
- Managing the development, review and continuous improvement of communications products and resources that promote culturally safe, inclusive and respectful practice of front-line staff and Partners in the Community
- Providing specialist knowledge and expertise on new and innovative approaches to engaging with LGBTIQA+ people with disability and other stakeholders
- Collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to improve the way we engage with LGBTIQA+ people with disability and other stakeholders
- Providing advice and support on policy management, strategic planning, reporting and forecasting to identify priority areas for team direction, engagement and issues management.
- Representing the agency in stakeholder interactions and public facing events, delivering messaging and ensuring opportunities for representation for LGBTIQA+ people with disability, their families and carers, community, mainstream and diverse cohorts of stakeholders.
