Description:
The Strategy, Communications and Innovation team is responsible for leading strategy, communications and innovation projects and initiatives. The team collaborate with all teams across the agency to design, implement and evaluate plans and strategies to make improvements to engagement.
The Assistant Director Strategy, Communications and Innovation (LGBTIQA+) is an important team leadership position and will be responsible for;
- Leading the design, implementation and evaluation of policies and strategies that will improve the service experience of LGBTIQA+ participants, their families and support networks
- Determining strategic direction for the work area and align longer-term planning with agency goals and objectives
- Developing complex policies, plans and strategies that require a detailed analysis of diverse research, data and views
- Coordinate the implementation of reforms, changes and business improvement strategies for LGBTIQA+ people with disability
- Preparing reports, briefing papers, speeches, Ministerial correspondence and discussion papers for review by Senior Executives
- Providing specialist knowledge and expertise on new and innovative approaches to engaging with LGBTIQA+ people with disability and other stakeholders
- Representing the Agency in stakeholder interactions and public facing events, delivering messaging and ensuring opportunities for representation for LGBTIQA+ people with disability, their families and carers, community, mainstream and diverse cohorts of stakeholders.
To be considered for this role you will demonstrate;
- Skills in strategy development and implementation
- Experience in developing innovative policy and strategy with a project/program management background
- High level written and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly developed leadership skills
- Knowledge and/or understanding of the disability sector would be advantageous
